AI Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer to help build and integrate AI-powered features for the Naggar Analytics statistical analysis platform. This is a project-based, remote collaboration — not a long-term employment contract. You will work directly with the founder to connect AI/LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI), build interactive analysis tools, and bring the AI-assisted research platform to life.
Key Responsibilities
- ▹ Integrate LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI) into the analysis platform for automated interpretation and reporting
- ▹ Build interactive web-based tools for statistical analysis, test selection, and results visualization
- ▹ Design and implement prompt engineering pipelines for bilingual (EN/AR) research interpretation
- ▹ Develop streaming response systems (SSE) for real-time AI-generated analysis
- ▹ Connect frontend components to AI backend services for statistical computation
- ▹ Write clean, documented code that can be handed off and extended by the founder
- ▹ Advise on AI architecture decisions — model selection, caching, cost optimization, and latency management
Requirements
- ▹ Proven experience integrating LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) into production applications
- ▹ Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and React (Next.js preferred)
- ▹ Experience with server-side streaming (SSE, WebSockets) and API design
- ▹ Familiarity with statistical concepts (t-tests, ANOVA, regression) is a strong plus
- ▹ Ability to work independently on project-based milestones with clear deliverables
- ▹ Good written communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- ◦ Experience with data visualization (D3.js, Chart.js, or similar)
- ◦ Familiarity with Python data science ecosystem (pandas, scipy, statsmodels)
- ◦ Experience building bilingual/multilingual applications
- ◦ Knowledge of Appwrite or similar BaaS platforms
- ◦ Previous work on academic or research software
